In July 2019, the time had finally come: a long-missing bike path between Trent and Schaprode was officially opened. Since then, we've been cycling safely, on paved roads, between the two towns. I would definitely take the signposted bike detour through the oldest part of Trent and Zubzow, rather than just mindlessly following the cars on the main road.
