The source of the Elbe is in the Giant Mountains at an altitude of 1386 meters. After only one kilometer it forms a 40 meter high waterfall, the Elbfall. In the Czech Republic it is called Labe.

Obří důl (German name: Riesengrund) below the Schneekoppe. Huge valley in which once ore was mined. Tourist not opened. If you are lucky you will find the real edelweiss.
