coming from the North or the South this segment of the tour is gorgeous and a fun ride. ridden in my case heading north with a 15 mph SW tailwind was great fun. Loved nature's uphill assist!

Beautiful place to start and/or end a trip. Nice big parking lot, feels pretty safe. Swimming beach, boat launch, picnic area and porta potties.

Nice looking launch on Cannon Lake right by the Sakatah trail and you can cut through a small section of woods and ride a nice quiet road around the lake.

I ride in on the oncoming lane of the road, so as to give myself a better chance of avoiding traffic. The road is not super busy, but ATVs, bikes, and trucks with boat trailers are all common.
