Tons of elevation gain, if you're tired there are a few places you can go to avoid the steep part of the trail and meet back up with the route. Bring hiking poles for one extremely steep downhill section if you like the extra stability.

A very popular spot to escape from the heat during the summer. The riverwalk provides great, shady access to the Boise River, but does also provide access to other great outdoor recreational activities in the immediate area. This path is perfect for families and/or pets The trail itself is mostly dirt, but with some sections going over river stones. The trail is almost entirely flat, as it follows the river for the majority.
