Very close to Rollins Pass, taking the High Lonesome Trail you can reach this point from where you'll have incredible alpine views over King Lake. Definitely a great spot for photos!

As you wrap around King Lake, there is an amazing view of the alpine lake down in the bowl. It's recommended to do this trail counter-clockwise if you start before the sunrise as it's more technical towards the end (when the sun would be up).

Skyscraper Reservoir, which still has the old dam from when this was an actual reservoir for water management, yields great views of Skyscraper Peak overhead. You can take the trail that diverges up to the peak — a doable but steep power-hike — but if you want to stick to more runnable the reservoir itself is a great destination.

Lost Lake is exceptionally popular, and for good reason. This is one of the easier ways to enjoy a high alpine lake, beautiful forest, and good sense of the Indian Peaks Wilderness from a relatively short trail. The lake has marshy banks and is surrounded by a mountain vista.

High Lonesome Trail provides a much needed break after ascending to this point. The trail is fairly flat, non-technical, and offers panoramic views (if it's not foggy).
