An island of two political halves, wherever you go for walks in Cyprus, its landscape will sweep you off your feet. The southern half of the island is where you’ll find a lifetime’s worth of trekking, thanks to the staggering Troodos Mountains. Hike through rugged terrain, enjoying circular trails for every ability whilst surrounded by exceptionally diverse plants and trees.

The mighty Mount Olympus resides in the Troodos range and hikes around Cyprus’ highest peak are fantastic whether you’re aiming for the summit or strolling around the base. Trek past ancient pines and look out over the island, across to the glimmering ocean. In the far west, trek through the Akamas Peninsula Forest Park with its exquisite forested mountains and views you can’t tear your eyes away from.

From beaches and mountains to plains and ancient monasteries, hiking in Cyprus places you right in the heart of this intriguing island.
