In Lower Austria’s north-westernmost corner awaits the natural beauty of the Waldviertel. In this varied landscape, you’ll find MTB bliss on gravel and forest paths, with scenic uphill trails and exhilarating downhills.

You’ll discover fjord-like lakes, babbling brooks and vibrant moors. The region’s bizarre rock formations are just as beguiling as the silence of its dark, mysterious forests. You’ll pass through charming villages, where traditional delicacies provide the fuel for your MTB adventures.

In this Collection, we’ve put together five Tours that explore the heart of the Waldviertel – four short mountain bike routes and one exciting gravel Tour. The Tours all start from car parks and reveal the many facets of this breathtaking region.

Perhaps the main highlight is the 150-kilometre (93 mi) Granite Trail. Whether you smash this out in a single day or spend a few days enjoying the trails at your leisure is totally up to you. You can find out more about the Granite Trail and book your trip, including luggage transfer, on our website (in German): waldviertel.at/angebote/o-biken-am-waldviertler-granittrail
