Along the Unstrut and Saale rivers as well as the White Elster, there are beautiful waterside cycle paths that allow for blissful pedalling. The region also has lesser-known cycle paths taking you on adventures away from the main cycle routes.

In this Collection, we show you the most beautiful Tours in Saale-Unstrut. The Tours are between 13 and 78 kilometres (8–48 mi) long and offer both flat and steeper elevation profiles. Whether you’re keen for athletic challenges or planning an excursion for the whole family, there’s a suitable Tour for everyone. Cycling through the unspoilt river valleys, hilly landscapes with open vistas and along idyllic forest paths, all cyclists are guaranteed to get their money's worth.

The Tours have the benefit of being well connected to the public transport network. You start or end your ride in towns such as Jena, Halle, Naumburg or Zeitz. This allows you to get to the start easily from the surrounding towns and cities by regional trains. You can also drive to the circular routes and start wherever you want to along the loop.
