Fantastic autumn colours – exploring Québec's national parks

Autumn in Québec, Canada's French-speaking province, is absolutely magical. The landscapes, bathed in an explosion of orange, red and gold hues, seem to come straight out of a painting. The nature in the national parks is breathtaking year-round though, and spring and summer are also a great time to explore the mighty rivers, towering mountain peaks, spectacular gorges and impressive biodiversity.

Discover the glistening lakes and look out for moose and Canada herons in Mont-Tremblant National Park, or spot herds of caribou on your Tour through the National Park de la Gaspésie, known as the Sea of Mountains. You’ll also learn about Québec’s diverse history, which is characterised by indigenous peoples and French fur traders. In La Mauricie National Park, for example, the ancient trails lead to Wapizagonke Lake, a site used by indigenous communities over 5,000 years ago.

A road trip through Québec is a great way to enjoy both the national parks and the province's most exciting cities. Stroll through the historic old town of Québec with a maple syrup lollipop, or taste a delicious local bagel in the hip neighbourhood of Le Plateau in Montréal.

Depending on the temperatures, the autumn colours last from around mid-September to the end of October.

We can’t wait to welcome you to Québec!
