Spring holidays spent outdoors with the family, discovering the most beautiful places in our region in magnificent sunshine – and all without the stress of searching for a parking space. If this appeals, then you've come to the right place. This Collection contains eight exciting hikes in the beautiful Rhine-Main area. All the Tours start and end at bus stops or train stations, allowing you to leave the car behind.

Five of our hikes are located in the RMV area. Whether in the heart of Frankfurt or out in the countryside – travel is always quick and convenient with the RMV. If you have a Deutschland-Ticket and fancy travelling a little further afield, then the other three Tours are ideal for your spring holiday family hike.

All the hikes are suitable for small children and there are exciting things for them to discover along the way. As well as the beautiful scenery, you’ll find musical forest instruments; a detour through time to the ancient Romans and Germans; and a miniature solar system. There’s something for everyone.

A Whitsun hike in Frankfurt city center? Seriously? Of course! Frankfurt is always worth it, and there is also special "street art" waiting for you here that even most Frankfurt residents have probably never seen. It starts at Schweizer Platz. You can get there from the Hauptwache or the Südbahnhof with

This beautiful hike takes you right into the middle of the Odenwald. If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the big city, then you've come to the right place. The peace and quiet is interrupted now and then, but only by the sounds of the unusual instruments along the way. Just try them

What is this about? In the Rhine-Main area, you don't have to guess for long when you hear the word river. In this case, it's the former - the Rhine. When it comes to streams, the choice is of course a little wider. This means the Kreuzbach near Bingen, which flows through a wonderfully idyllic gorge
