Winding roads in breathtaking landscapes, taking you upwards until the clear mountain air has filled even the tiniest alveole in your lung. If you take the time to stop and let your eyes rest on the rocky mountain ranges that are framing the view all around, you'll never want to leave this place again. Whether you are up for an extended alpine tour or prefer a short evening ride into the sunset, road biking is always a blast in this authentic little paradise in the Alps called Bregenzerwald - almost all year round. Simply make sure to check the weather forecast before you go and hunt those altitude meters, especially when you plan to go above 1200m.
We've prepared eight special tours for you, on which you can discover beautiful alpine pastures, mountain passes, deep gorges and roaring waterfalls. Most of these tours have Bregenz railway station as a starting point, which you can easily reach from Germany. Small detours to the neighboring Allgäu, as well as the Latern and Lech valleys make it one of our favorite go to places, when we've got a couple of days to waste on two wheels. Are you in?
