There are many ways to discover the Italy’s Garda Trentino region, which boasts magnificent views, impressive peaks and beautiful lakes. A gravel bike is no doubt one of the best means of transport – you can bring your own or rent one when you arrive.

In this Collection, you’ll discover Lake Garda and the valleys to its north, like the Valle di Ledro, Valle dei Laghi and the municipality of Comano. You’ll ride on back roads, forest paths and bike trails that take you from the Mediterranean climate and lush vegetation near Riva del Garda to the alpine landscapes of the Brenta Dolomites.

These Tours take you to the turquoise Lago di Ledro and over the spectacular Ponale road; from the Passo del Ballino to Lago di Tenno; from the rocky landscape of Marocche di Dro through the Gorge of Limarò; from Lake Garda to Lake Cavedine and on to the dreaded Passo della Morte, the Pass of Death. These 10 Tours showcase a breathtaking region that, in addition to the diversity of its nature, is equally rich in history and culinary traditions.

The gravel rides in this Collection vary in terms of difficulty and are suitable for all types of gravel bikes – whether electric or muscle powered. Recovery is also important in sport and during your holiday. You’ll have the chance to try craft beer, a glass of wine, regional sausage or alpine cheese, produced in the region, on each of the routes.

A great advantage of the Garda Trentino region is that you can cycle here all year round. Some Tours are wonderful in autumn, when the woods come alive with colour. On the Divin Nosiola route, for example, the vineyards are painted red and golden in autumn and the wineries are perfect places to take a break. At Comano, you’ll cycle among colourful fruit trees whose rows are interrupted by medieval villages.

For all the suggested gravel Tours, we recommend packing appropriate clothing and equipment, even for the relatively short and easy rides. Take water, snacks such as dried fruit or bars, a windproof and rainproof coat, sunscreen and sunglasses, cycling gloves, lights and a first aid kit, as well as essential spare parts and tools. This way you’ll be safe on the road and prepared for a sudden thunderstorm or hunger pangs.

You can get to the starting points by public transport, such as buses and ferries, which also transport bicycles for an additional charge. If you drive, you’ll easily find parking.

The region offers plenty of accommodation, which caters especially to outdoor sports enthusiasts dedicated to making your active holiday a fantastic experience.

Get ready for unique experiences while discovering the Garda Trentino region from the saddle of your gravel bike. You’ll return home with many great memories of a wonderful time and fabulous views.
