A round through the southern Osnabrücker Land, East Westphalia and the Münsterland.
Never drove that far before. Everything went pretty well up to kilometer, after that my stomach kept telling me that it wasn't that into the cold drinks from the bicycle bottles. So I always had to take a break, let the stomach rest and try to get some calories into the body. At 160 km the derailleur suddenly failed and the chain slipped onto the small chainring. Since I didn't feel like doing any manual work 20km before the end, it went on at high speed in the end.
I've never driven such a long distance, my personal goal was a total time of less than 10 hours.
      Worked :-)

Great round. Delicious fries - a certain envy germinates. In the title you stated the Komoot time, the total time has to be included, because Komoot calculates the breaks (I learned from orbiting last year ;-)).

Tour report: "A little peace and back - Münsterland - Teutoburg Forest"
      Münster-Greven-Ladbergen-Tecklenburg-Bad Iburg-Bad Rothenfelde-Bad Laer-Glandorf-Ostbevern-Telgte
First the bastard had to go! He was sitting on the edge of the bed at 6:30 am and whispered - hey, it's cold, foggy and dark - do you really want to do that to yourself ??? Driving at 1 ° is not really my thing, no matter what kind of clothes I am wearing. But somehow I got up - luckily I had everything ready the evening before. Yes, then it started - the first 60 km via Münster in the direction of Teuto, based on the Peace Route Münster-Osnabrück, it went through the northern Münsterland. I didn't see anything of the landscape, the fog was so thick and cold that it wasn't really fun. Fortunately, I had already tried the same route a week earlier in the best weather. Shortly before Brochterbeck the sun finally fought its way through the fog and then it got really beautiful: the landscape more exciting and it finally got warmer. Now it got more hilly - the only significant vertical meters were on this next 60km section along the Teutoburg Forest. In the last third of the tour, it went via southwest Lower Saxony to northern Münsterland. The whole thing in the most beautiful sunshine - I actually got a slight sunburn.
Conclusion: Since this was my first tour of this length and I'm not used to long riding on the gravel bike, I chose rather easy trails for this tour. There were some nice trails and about 1000 meters of altitude to master. I couldn't keep my target average of 20km / hour for the total time because I was forced to stop at a gas station to refuel. Unfortunately my two new bottles with the Fidlock system popped down and broke ;-(
In any case, I am happy to have made the 180km - after the # orbit360 - DNF BremenOrbit - now finally a sense of achievement. Now more can come - let's orbit !!!

Without riding circles two times it's currently sadly not possible to do a loop without crossing the border.
Wanted to ride around Hahntennjoch, Namlos, Fernpass and actually create a loop, but the road was covered in snow (high alpine environment) so sadly had to get creative. Hope this is still find (I've added 50k and "a bit" of elevation to make up for it 😂)

It's just before eight and I'm getting the bike out of the shed. 2 ° C and drizzle! The rest of the family lies in a warm bed, turns around again and dreams of Sunday breakfast. "Ride for a reason" is the motto! Apparently I just forgot the reason, but I will have thought it over well when I signed up. That has to be enough: let's go!
After about 20 minutes the visor of the helmet is wet, the glasses underneath fogged up on both sides, visibility is somewhere between 10cm and 10 meters. The perception of the outside world is accordingly close to zero. The title of the book by the autistic author Birger Sellin comes to mind: “I don't want to be in-me anymore.” Out of the corner of my eye I see a few cranes fly up. I'm sure I saw some shake their heads at the sight of me. Maybe just imagination? The microfibre cleaning cloth wrapped up as a precaution becomes the most important companion. So at least the visor can be dried while driving. After an hour the first stop to dry the glasses. Fortunately, the drizzle has subsided a bit. A little later a line from Alligatoah flashes through my head: "Mom can you pick me up ..." Does my subconscious want to tell me something? I prefer not to pursue the question, as chasms may open up.
The drizzle continues to lessen and after the first break for lunch with homemade rice cakes, it slowly (little pun in my cut today) feels like cycling. The sky now gets light gray spots from time to time. The first highlight is a short detour to the Balksee. Great view over the lake and even the sun can be guessed. Actually, I had planned the route consistently on asphalt, so a few kilometers of moguls along a canal were a nice change. After Cadenberge the sun does show up, which increased the anticipation for one of my favorite routes along the outer dike of the Elbe to Freiburg. The closer I get to the Elbe, however, the thicker the fog becomes. Once at the dike, nothing of the Elbe can be seen. At least the tail wind is as hoped. Now we always go back along the dike, in between fields with thousands of barnacle geese. It is these moments that make sense of the motto “Ride for a reason” again during the tour!
As is so often the case, it was worth not giving in to your weaker self!
      Route: great!
      Diet: fits!
      Bike, clothes, ...: fits!
Pacing: fits! (For the fact that it was the 2nd longer lap on the racing bike in months.)
      # rideFAR180 is done, # rideFAR360 can come. 😊
