About Alexander Freitag

Even though hiking is rather the exception for me, I'd like to share this beautiful tour, as my son and I spent an unforgettable day in the Harz Mountains. I was inspired by Bianca's vivid description (komoot.com/de-DE/tour/2641651629?ref=itd). Having already experienced the masterful quality of her

🌧️Overcast, drizzle, wind, and cool temperatures—autumn has arrived. Nevertheless, it was beautiful: fresh air and the feeling of freedom!🚴

After the failed first attempt, in which I had to abandon the route early (as it turned out later, with a broken frame) (komoot.com/de-DE/tour/2397391982?ref=itd), this was my second attempt at completing this Harz Orbit. This time, I didn't start from the Magdeburger Hütte, but from Goslar as planned

I have to admit that I completely underestimated this Orbit. After riding Isabel's "Queer Quasar" last year, I had no suspicions and expected a similar style of course. I was looking forward to long, fast, flowing gravel sections. These did indeed occur, so I wasn't disappointed, but they were a struggle

After the many gravel orbits, now an "asphalt orbit": The idea of circumnavigating Lake Constance came to me after cycling around Lake Biwa, the largest lake in Japan. I thought at the time that I could repeat such an undertaking "at home," and a year and a half later, I've put this idea into action

Although this orbit involved a somewhat longer journey for me, I didn't want to miss the opportunity to ride gravel through the Black Forest. Unfortunately, I didn't arrive at the campsite in Karlsruhe until the middle of the night and started my tour the next day later than planned, feeling rather sleep

After nearly tearing myself apart during a botched jump from a wooden ramp at Willingen Bike Park 🤕, I dared to get back on my mountain bike two days later despite my injuries. ✌️ My tour first took me to the 42-meter-high Möhnesee Tower, which offers a fantastic view. A narrow trail down to the southern

Unfortunately, all things come to an end: On the last day of the Gravity Festival, I didn't participate in the Community Ride, but instead rode the "Individual Time Trial" route from the first day. I had skipped that route in favor of participating in two workshops (First Aid and Bike Repair), and made

This time, the Gravity Festival also featured a "Gravity Cat." The name is derived from Alley Cat, a kind of bike scavenger hunt in which you have to navigate to several checkpoints to complete tasks. The five checkpoints were supervised by the sponsors: komoot, Powerbar, ROSE, HUNT, and RYZEN. I also

After a lot of work-related travel lately, I finally treated myself to a bike ride today. After such a long break, I really missed the heath and revived my classic local route: the "Four Hills Tour" over the Brunsberg (129 m), the Pferdekopf (79 m), the Wilseder Berg (169 m), and the Turmberg (135 m
