Anglin Falls
Forgot to turn off tracker so actual hike was about 2 miles. Nicely maintained trail, popular despite long rural drive to get to it. Wildflowers along out and back, mostly single track trail. Seasonal rains mean best flow after rains. A bit steep at end. Shady but never much bug…

Hiking at Rock Island State Park
Awesome park with excellent explanations to describe why/how dam for power generation created some of the falls that looked like they were. weeping from the rocks. Next time we’ll do the other side of the river.

The distance is off by a mile+ or more for some inexplicable reason. I found this trail uniformly unspectacular and tedious due to loose rocky surface almost the whole way. However, the CCC commemorative area was very well done.

Got off-route as trails not well marked.. as a consequence, had to cut short our hike because the gates at the parking lot get locked promptly at sunset. We did find an alternative trailhead to try next time to avoid the lock up issue.

Started from Parking off Veterans Hwy to take in some trails offering more cardio impact. Most trails dry with a few passable muddy spots after recent rains. Dog walkers out today but no other hikers. Pleasant hilly park if you don't mind traffic noise from nearby interstate.

Nice natural surface trail with opportunity for water views of river and marsh. Some runoff erosion and leaf covered roots in trail. All skill level appropriate. Use by hikers, dog walkers, trail runners and naturalists. No hunting.

The CCC restored this monument after vandals destroyed it. Wide easy trail to top of knob with views of the valley below. There is a tiny museum also which highlights the Civil War battle at Boonesboro. Stairs to top of monument were closed on our visit.
