Idyllic tranquility and just forest forest forest. Many side roads. It doesn't work without a hiking app like Komoot. An absolute must, because you can go wrong. If I hadn't thought it was possible, thank you Komoot.
Eigtl we want to run around big, but it was really muggy that day, so we took the same route back in the last section.
The highlight is the fire watchtower.

About a year ago we felt combed by Komoot. Now the day has come to implement this proposal. Great weather. Since it's Thursday and it's early in the morning, you hardly see any people here.
In the first third of the route to a little further than the dam, it was idyllic for us: forest path, green, calm ... really forest. The water from the lake was clear.
So between kilometers 7 and 9 it was not so nice for me. It was too monotonous for me, but my daughter liked it. Business matter stop. Then it went again.
At about kilometer 2.7 we got lost and went through the forest. Thanks to the Komoot compass, we weren't worried.
From shortly after the dam, you mostly go on a gravel path, but it is easy to walk on.
Nevertheless, you should have some surefootedness. There are tree trunks that you have to climb over - or even climb down.

Especially with the weather a good opportunity to do a little hike again after the winter time. Because of corona virus, where possible, where there are few people. We chose Burgholz.
Beautiful forest paths and pleasantly quiet, up to 5.4 km for about 1 km along the expressway. It would be better to take a route beforehand. Weatherproof shoes are recommended. And maybe a little perseverance.

We took the parking lot Ispei at fire department.
Overall, except for a stretch of beautiful forest trails. On the way we saw a few mushroom pickers and very few people. On most routes we were alone. We notice the friendliness of the people.
We had to briefly through Sundwig. That was just ok.
Our highlights are the Felsenmeer and the forest paths.
After that, to get back on forest path, we had to go through Deilinghofen. Well ... luckily only for a short time.
Lovely to smell the scent of firs.
About the last 45 minutes was quite a bit adventurous. Branches lay everywhere on the paths. Afterwards we saw on the map that we should have taken another route, but we did not find it and found the branch line better.
All in all, you need proper shoes and conditions (a few times uphill).

The sun announced. How good that there is Komoot, so I was able to pick a tour on the fly.
From Stadtpark Bochum over big round over Westerholt and back.
I was careful not to be on the main road, but it is not always avoidable, especially the last kilometers.
Up to the last kilometers I was always compensated by the beauty of the environment: Erzbahntrasse, Grimberger sickle, bike paths through forests, at km 14.8 I had to take the detour because of the construction site - really beautiful route - the old beautiful village Westerholt (me will return there with more time - it's worth it) and Herten Castle. Shortly before the water lock Herten I was confused, because according to Navi I should go there through the hospital area. I was not sure if one got through, but I relied on Komoot. It was right.
Most routes were easy to drive, hardly on the road.
      Sequel follows...

Stage 2 (because I accidentally pressed my Navi to save instead of continue navigation) ... it continued after the break. Now I came to Erzbrahntrasse. One of the most beautiful bike path ever. The highlight is the suspension bridge. Finally, I had to go on, or drive on the road. But overall stages 1 and 2 I found nice.

At first I was skeptical because I had to drive over 3 km or on the road, but then I came to Springorum bike path. The route is pleasant to drive. There are also sections where you have to be on the road again, but usually only for a short time. However, according to Navi, I should make a detour shortly before Hattingerstrasse / Schloßpark Weitmar, I found not so good. Continue straight and stay on the bike path is better.
Driving from Dahlhausen to Essen Überruhr along the Ruhr is relaxing and beautiful.
In the area of Sevinghausen I drove on a light dirt road through field field. No one was there to see. A bit scary, but somehow nice.
Then it goes on cycle path Kray Wanner train to the "rest stop". After the break I silently pressed Navi Save, instead of continuing navigation. Therefore, I consider this as stage 1. It continues with stage 2.

Two years ago (and yesterday by bike) we were here. Because we found it very nice, we went through again.
We took the bus from Ischgl. The stop is Galtür Tschafein. From there we went to the sawmill. According to Navi we should go the right way next sawmill, we did not, because then you have not much of the river and gorge, so, please take the left path.
It is really comfortable to go through. Then you come to the gorge and past a game park.
After a few kilometers just before Ischgl you come through the "magic forest". Be sure to take the Zwergerlweg. You can not get off the route. Is only a byway.

Yesterday it did not work because of the weather, to go down to Ischgl. Today we picked up, with a detour to the Schwarzwassersee. It is worth to go to the lake (right on the water). After the round we went down the adventure trail. Simply beautiful track and listen to the water noise. If you do not want to have many people on the way and want to enjoy peace and quiet, it is advisable to take the first cable car. I use the path for the third time.
There are sections, because you need a little surefootedness. Otherwise it is nice to walk.
