What a nice round, sometimes strenuous uphill and then briskly downhill again. Lots of places that offer a beautiful view of the mountains.

Always easy to drive roads and paths.

A very nice section of the route on the Rennsteig. You did it right and took the time to visit the Wartburg and hike through the Drachenschlucht.

I wish you lots of fun on the Rennsteig.

The Hotel Thüringer Hof offers a free transfer. We gladly accepted it at the start of the tour, as it is a steep climb to the Rennsteig.

      Destination: Ruhla, Waldhotel Rennsteighof

Today we almost only went through the forest, i.e. no roads along the route, but also no places to stop for refreshments.

At regular intervals there are nice rest areas and shelters in very good condition.

Another nice tour. Unfortunately, many parts of the route run parallel to the road.

We took our first break at the "Großer Dreiherrensteig" forest hut. There was a hearty solyanka.
