Day trip from the city to the south coast - elapsed time includes two simple train journeys on the same line but a couple of stops apart. The route waddles along a fraction of the South Downs and then into the incredible Friston Forest. Coffee stops at the Flint Owl Bakery in Lewes and Cadence near Alfriston
