St. Augustine to Jacksonville Beach
Most of the route was on the edge of highway either with a bike lane or sidewalk. The best part of the route was the gravel roads through Guana Tolomato Matanzas National Estuarine Research Reserve. However, that put us away from the East Coast Greenway route.

Rodman CG to St. Augustine
Route is partially on road and partially on the Patlaka to St. Augustine bike trail. We walked over the canal lock, we were lucky because a lady at tge campground gave us the code for the lock, if you don't have the code from the Florida Trail Association, don't go that way.

Silver Springs to Rodman Dam CG
It was extremely hot today and part of the route was very exposed in the sun and a lot of loose sand. It wasn't too bad once we got on a main forest road

Rainbow Springs CG to Silver Springs
The first 4 miles were on busy road with little shoulder. Then we rode very nice, quiet first trail until we crossed the highway. Then it was a very nice paved path to Santos Trailhead. There are a lot of mountain bike trails in this area and the campground looked nice, but full. We then took roads to a hotel bt Silver Springs State Park as there Campground was also full. The roads were either not busy or had a bike lane.
