Since we have visited Trier in the past, we didn’t visit the down town area (which is beautiful by the way). We stayed just outside Trier in a monastery hotel (Kloster in german). From Trier to Traben-Trarbach is a nice part of the tour, with the Mosel river meandering through the landscape. It’s easy

Luxembourg is not part of the Moselradweg, but it’s where we started today. Luxembourg city is an Unesco site, and it shows … wow. We will come back later to spend a long weekend to discover it’s beauty.

From Traben-Trarbach to Cochem is a nice bike path with plenty to see. Some very nice small towns along the riverbanks. Very photogenic. The castle in Cochem is impressive, situated high above the center. Cochem itself is pretty, but extremely touristic. Coffee sucks and is overpriced.
