So, that was the last stage of the round, which again led along the Ludwig Canal, the Main-Danube Canal and the remains of the Altmühl until it went back to Altmannstein on the railway cycle path. It was a wonderfully varied tour, even though it mostly led over gravel. Would you have to repeat again at more moderate temperatures, because all beer gardens were already closed.

Still well fed after an excellent Schäufele of Veldensteiner wheat at the farmer's and an exquisite breakfast at the Schwarzer Adler, we cycled along the Pegnitz to Lauf (picture book Franconia), further on the meandering Pegnitz, then through annoying Nuremberg and finally 40km on good gravel along the Ludwig Canal, which was dug around 1840 and connected the Main with the Danube with exactly 100 locks between Bamberg and Altmühl. Reminiscent of the Rhine-Rhone Canal with the remains of the lock and stone bridges.

The route was explored by bike beforehand, but various gates at the arbor colony and the chicane at Buschgraben (Brbg / Berlin border) remained a risk. But everything was fine. The rickshaw is exactly 95cm wide, the gates 1m.A great route leads through Kleinmachnow through the forest - the Bannwald - to Dreilinden. There are a few streets to cross, but there are almost always ramps. Short break at the former tank and back we went parallel to Königsweg through the Düppeler dog run area to Zehlendorf, where we rewarded ourselves with delicious ice cream in the old bakery. The rest of the way was a breeze - with a bend through the Schweizerhofpark. Conclusion: Risks are worth it - the rickshaw is off-road. Because of the low ground clearance, you only have to pay attention to high roots and small tree stumps along the way. She masters sandy passages without any problems.

A weekend of camping under excavators was combined with a round to Oranienbaum, on a great bike path through the forest and past beavers to the Elbe near Vockerode, on the Elbe dike to Wörlitz (good food at Zieglers') and a long walk in the park at Oranienbaum Castle. That was a totally relaxed 46km - in tourist areas, but the crowds only bothered us on the 300m before Wörlitz.

And again a rickshaw tour through Zehlendorf, today with two passengers - young and old. The rickshaw drove like a new one after the overhaul. No screeching and sideways-pulling brakes, the battery again with a lot of thrust and the rattling sound was not lacking either. The stretches through the parks were easy to drive on, only the wall path along the canal and the bush trench was not suitable for speeds above 10 km / h due to underrooting and eruptions.
