The tour started at the Schirmbuche hiking car park, which is currently only accessible by car from Friedrichsbrunn. The conditions on the way were alternating with snow / mud, but luckily the ground was still frozen. Via Friedrichsbrunn and the gondola pond we went to the Laubtalblick, the first HWN stamp in the new year. The path towards Allrode started very nicely, then only a few trees lay across and at the end it became very impassable due to deep tracks from forest vehicles and tree remains. The way back via Hohle Eiche, Echowiese and Adl Eiche was more relaxed again.- HWN 191 - Laubtalblick

Cozy Sunday round in the south of Braunschweig. Südsee, Oker, Spielmannsteich, Richmond Castle are a great area and well worth seeing.

At the end of the hiking year it should be something special again, in the Harz to the Brocken, starting in Schierke. Yes, very, very many had the same idea and the great winter landscape was populated by numerous hiking enthusiasts. The weather on the Brocken did not necessarily invite you to linger, the visibility was zero. On the way back down there was a constantly changing play of clouds, sometimes even with cheers. The single trail around the Große Zeterklippe was very beautiful and away from the streams of hiking. At the end of the day, a great idea was the descent over the extremely smooth old bobsleigh run in the dark 🙄🤣.- HWN special cancellation forest change Brocken

The tour started from Meisdorf in the direction of Ballenstedt and then on to Selkesicht (great viewpoint). Luckily it had frozen a bit during the night, so the paths were OK. The cool wind probably also contributed to the fact that it didn't get too muddy. About the "Lumpenstieg" it went down to Selke and on a beautiful hiking trail back to Meisdorf.- HWN 199 - Bismarck tower

From the Drei Annen Hohne parking lot, we went over the HohneHof to the Leistenklippe, Ahrensklint and Trudenstein. From the easily accessible boulders you have a phenomenal view, whereby the 360 ° all-round view of the Leistenklippe still stands out. Likewise, the mountain hiking trail and the moor climb to the Leistenklippe are just to be enjoyed. One of the best Harz tours ever made.- HWN 174 - HohneHof

Today an easy St. Nicholas tour in rather cloudy weather, started at the parking lot Bergwerk Büchenberg. From the starting point to the entrance building of the (currently closed) show mine there are already some historical exhibits on mining. Via Dreiherrenstein and the idyllically situated Eggeröder Brunnen settlement, the tour's highlight was the Volkmarskeller cave, which is located a little above the stamping point. On the way back, the remains of the Königspfalz Bodfeld and the Galgenberg near Elbingerode were called.
