(Im Nachhinein veröffentlicht.) Angelehnt an die Friesenroute "Rad up Patt" führt uns unsere Route als erstes nach Greetsiel. Leider ist der schönste Teil des Weges dorthin auf dem Deich nicht befahrbar, weil an größeren Abschnitten gebaut wird. Am Beginn und Ende der Baustelle stehen Sicherheitsleute, die kontrollieren. Weil wir nicht so schnell aufgeben und nachfragen, bekommen wir freundliche Erklärungen zu den Bauvorhaben und warum sie jetzt in der Sommerzeit stattfinden müssen. In Greetsiel schauen wir uns den kleinen Hafen an, in dem Krabbenkutter liegen und plaudern mit den Krabbenfischern, lassen uns mit den Besucherströmen durch den Ort treiben, machen eine gemütliche Pause und schauen uns noch die großartigen Windmühlen direkt am Wasser an. Dann ziehen wir eine kleine Schlaufe zum Pilsumer Leuchtturm. In Pilsum (mit einer besonders schönen, alten Kirche) entdecken wir eine kleine Künstlergasse mit alten, sehr kleinen und geduckten Friesenhäuschen und lustigen, charakterstarken Skulpturen (siehe Fotos!). Der Pilsumer Leuchtturm begrüßt uns mit einer steifen Brise und und leuchtenden Farben im Sonnenschein. Wir sind entzückt! Als nächste Etappe steht das Wirdumer Steinhaus, eines der ältesten Gebäude des Ortes auf dem Plan, an dem wir fast vorbeifahren, weil wir es uns viel größer vorgestellt haben. Eine kleine Runde um die Kirche gedreht und weiter geht's bis Marienhafe. Nach kleiner Picknickpause mit Regenschauer entscheiden wir uns nicht für den Zug, sondern für einen kurzen Weg (leider überwiegend straßenbegleitend) nach Norden. Ein perfekter Tag. So geht Urlaub! 🙂
