From the Hammerstiel parking lot, today we went steeply up a beautiful root path to the Grünsteinhütte... just a stone's throw to the summit with a wonderful view of the surrounding mountains and of course the Watzmann. Past the hut and further through the forest over roots and stones to the Kührointalm

Somehow the little legs wanted a bit of rest... besides, thunderstorms were forecast... then better no summit tour. So off to the parking lot in the Klausbachtal and from there on foot up to the Litzlalm via the Bindalm. Unfortunately, almost all on forest roads :-( even if the landscape is really beautiful

The Kehlsteinhaus had been on our list for a long time, but we wanted to hike up. Instead of starting from Obersalzberg, we chose the path from Ofnerboden, which saved about 200m of ascent and descent and included the beautiful drive up the panoramic road. Still really hot and quite crowded around the Königssee. So we went to the parking lot at Schwarzbachwacht (parking fee up to 4 hours: 6 Euros, over 4 hours: 9 Euros, payable by card.
