Little surprise for Mother's Day with an unexpected visit. It was a small tour on MTB and bicycle detours, with a proportion of trails and a corresponding proportion of roads and paths. The tour was correspondingly fast due to the road section. It was good training for Whitsun and brought me a little further.
The tour went through a piece of the Lessbach Valley in the direction of Breitscheid, Pohlhausen, Braschoss over the Wahnbach dam on to Happerschoss. After a long stop, we went back towards Much via Neunkirchen.

Today I did the first slightly longer tour without interruption.
Before that, I usually had to stop after 15-20 km because of the pain. Today it was kept within limits and after a long time it was a lot of fun again. The tour took me through the Kleinesbach Valley, the Naafbachtal valley that overflows completely and a few extra detours back to Much. In certain areas it was not that easy to take pictures without people, but "We were traveling in groups at a distance". I hope that at some point even the last egoists will understand and stick to the guidelines, then the gastronomy and the hotels might have a chance to open up again, which would make hiking, cycling and mountain biking a little more beautiful. In any case, I have enough destinations in mind in other regions that I would still like to visit. Unfortunately, the situation still does not allow it.
But I hope that the next tour will go so well that there will finally be a light on the horizon again.

This morning the cassette, the front sprocket and chainring on "Mondy 2" were quickly replaced because I was home far too late the whole week. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Thomas Schumacher from Radmarkt Schumacher in Cologne, who has bought me the spare and wear parts from ONOFF for the Mondraker. Unfortunately, I had to find out that not everyone who sells Mondraker can get replacement or wear parts.
On Friday I had already made an appointment with Markus for today and we still had no plan where the trip should go. After a short thought, I got the idea to do the Sunday Trail Tour from October 4th, 2020 in reverse. During the trip I made a few changes and I have to say that the tour was much better around. Over the Herrenteich to Much and on towards Heckberg. From there through the Schlingenbachtal to Vilkerath on the Aggertrail to Overath. Continue through the Eulenthal past the gutter to the Naafbachtal and on via Növerhof and Weißenportz towards Heimat. It was a comfortable, beautiful and quite entertaining tour that I would repeat at any time.Sorry! Video is coming!

Since I'm always very interested in following Joy, I had the trails around Iserlohn on my bucket list for this year for the whole year. Actually I wanted to spend a long weekend there, but unfortunately there will be no more due to Corona this year. So I downloaded the tour "ENDURO ³ + Flow²" from Joy and set off with Markus on the long journey. Joy had already noted that a lot can still change due to upcoming forest work. Unfortunately, that's how it was. The trail for the ascent to the Wolfskuhle no longer existed, so we had to improvise. Then we are in the direction of Adam &. and rode Eastern Spice Trail. We both found the trails really amazing under the conditions we found and thought they were in a different league here. We continued towards the Hansi Golddiger Trail. This was closed for forest work. Shame on our heads, we drove. There was forest work there, but only on the trail. The trees were wonderfully positioned on the trail. At the Kuhle there was a third biker whom we had met a few times before. So we could help each other with the bikes. We chatted a little while keeping the appropriate distance. I thought if we are on this side anyway we can take a trail with us. We and a couple of hikers did not find the overgrown path, probably because it was so overgrown. So we got to the Ants Trail, which is quite easy to drive. In the middle, with the transverse trees, things got stuck a bit, but still great. Then it went on to the opposite side. A few smaller trails led to the Big O Trail 1-3. I have to say a really great trail. Next time I'll try to take all the jumps with me. We continued on to the straight line trail, the last part of which unfortunately no longer exists. The Tannennadelöhr Trail is no longer there either. On the way to the car we could have driven the Rocky Forest. Due to the fact that we haven't had any falls or injuries up to this point, we decided not to do it. Next time. Summary: Despite the long journey, it was really worth it. Great trails and we've only seen a few. Super nice hikers and mountain bikers. (We kept talking at a safe distance) Unfortunately, time was running against us. Driven a little over two hours and almost four on the way. We will be back definitely.

Halloween 2020 an event, a day like many in the Corona year 2020, which most of us will probably not forget. Perhaps even more accelerated by the misconduct and the lack of insight, the second round of tightened measures will start on Monday to avert a renewed lockdown. One can only hope that the measures will have the desired effect and that the numbers will decline again in the second or third week. Primarily it is still about health and that our health system does not collapse, but this time it is also about many jobs and livelihoods. Personally, I can only appeal to everyone: "Do everything in your power that the numbers fall and everyone stays healthy".Hence the little Halloween tour that was once again a huge mud fight. Started on the small trails and autumn forest paths in the direction of Neunkirchen from there over the foothills, the Alzenbachtrail to Pohlhausen. This time I avoided the steep ascent on the other side of the Alzenbach, as I would certainly not have gotten up in the circumstances. Then it went on along the dam. (But I also have to add that the tour was not as fun as usual. There were a lot of hikers on the way, on the trails you sometimes met dogs without a master, which was not particularly funny and very dangerous. The driving fun was very much clouded because you could not go very fast and was always thrown out. Every mountain biker knows the evil looks that sometimes hit you. What a shame! Dear hikers, please do not misunderstand this note. Live and let live.)
The paths and trails up to the dam wall were otherwise quite easy to drive apart from a few obstacles. Unfortunately, I again made the mistake of driving or pushing this little trail section below Schneffelrath🤬. I probably never learn it, it wasn't easy to drive in the summer and why now. Over the dam it went to Happerschoss, then to the root trail on the Ziefer Bach which is still not passable and then slipped down the alternative path. Shortly before the pin I am unfortunately put on the rear derailleur so that a reasonable shift was no longer possible. From Pinn I had to leave the actual route and shorten the tour. (The trail in Neunkirchen is not recommended at the moment). But no matter how, I used the beautiful day well.
A few tour impressions as an attachment.

The tour was supposed to be titled "Between Planning and Offer". At the moment I'm really having trouble taking some free time. Today I just dared to do it again like last Sunday😝. I thought "Shit Happens" just drive down the four valleys. Quickly jump into the oversized "dirt suit" and go. In the Holzbachtal I would have thrown myself up almost twice on the root passages, so be careful! I also have to say that I was totally surprised what kind of business there was in the valleys. (Almost like in summer). So on through the Naafbachtal to the bear trail and from there on through the Lessbachtal towards the Wahnbachtal. I don't think I missed a mud pack which was really fun. A few tour impressions as an attachment.

Due to the amount of work that took me up on the weekends, it was relatively poor for me to drive in the last two weeks, apart from a few trips on the home trail (which I don't always hire). Today I took the liberty of doing a longer lap again. I drove the Aggertrails for the last time two years ago, so I thought it would be time for this lap again. I quickly rescheduled something and I am totally satisfied with the result. I can definitely recommend this round as well as it is. What happened to the "gutter" after clearing is bad, but new trails are emerging everywhere in other cleared forest areas. You should not only see the negative in it, but also that something new can arise from it. What I have not documented as a photo is partly attached as a link for today's videos.

Today we started sightseeing in Lichtenberg. It all started with the bulwark, from there to Lichtenberg Castle and then the highlight: "The only and true Frankenstein Castle". We also looked at a few of the trails that go there, they look really good! Finally, we quickly engaged the warp drive and landed in the beautiful town of Kronberg in the Hochtaunus district. A social hotspot as it turned out. In addition to the other small cars beyond good and bad, I saw the Bentley Bentayga live for the first time. A beautiful old town with very beautiful buildings. Unfortunately, Kronenberg Castle cannot be visited on Monday and Tuesday. After a delicious meal, it was the successful conclusion.

After yesterday's somewhat demanding tour, which was a bit tough for Heike, I have planned two tours for today. Since I merged the Garmin with a new cell phone and the transmission of yesterday's tour did not work 🤮, I used the Garmin and the cell phone today as a precaution. My tour was saved on the Garmin, as was the recording (tour on Garmin no problem vice versa). The cell phone also recorded most of the walks, but what the heck (shit happens). We had fixed meeting points on the tour and so I was able to shred some really cool trails and make videos. We got to see and visited a lot. I slowly grew to love the Odenwald and there is still a lot to ride. Most of the trails are too hard for someone who hardly rides at all, but I'm proud of how Heike has done. Let's see what we do tomorrow.
