Another tour from the "Schee isch's am Rhein" collection, the first of a planned series that are more north of us because we have already hiked a good bit up the Rhine in the south. The best weather and a beautiful spot on the Rhine ("Belle", but the local dialect expression for poplar).

Linking movement and the effects of the last flood. A few otherwise dry areas were only part of the river directly on the Rhine. In the direction of the dam there were also some rivers that otherwise do not run that way. But it was very interesting and nice to walk.

Cozy round for three. The parking spaces at the Fischweier snack bar were full and the hiking trails were well attended, as an acquaintance who happened to be cycling along the way confirmed to me: "There is nobody else here!" I haven't been to the Rimmelsbacher Hof for at least 25 years and I've actually forgotten what it was like back then.

After the planned tour of our favorite wineries and the somewhat unplanned wine tastings, we didn't have that much time left until we stopped at Marienhof to stretch our legs. So this time it was only a short tour through the neighboring villages and vineyards, but the view of the Palatinate Forest and the bright autumn colors "compensated" us sufficiently. However, the weather should and could have been sunnier and warmer.

Comfortable Sunday hike with friends with a delicious finish in the Backhaus Sallenbusch. With all the bright autumn colors, especially of the vineyards, you often didn't know which view was more beautiful.Since we walked the tour in the opposite direction, Kommot got off halfway and wanted to lead us back the way we walked. However, we were more stubborn and looked for our own way back.
