The North Downs Way: Guildford to Dorking

Stage two of the North Downs Trail. Picked up from Guildford and made my way across the Downs towards Dorking / Westhumble. Compared to the first stage, this one had a lot more ascents as you come across more chalk ridges along the hillside! But it still made for some…

The North Downs Way: Farnham to Guildford

The first stage of The North Downs Way and one I’ve been eager to complete for some time now! Easy to access given the train connections from Central London and the route itself is straight-forward enough; passing through rural villages and country lanes and woodlands to really get the blood…

Wendover Loop

Ventured once again to the Chilterns to trek along the hills outside of Wendover. There were points where I had to deviate on the trail due to the HS2 works being carried out around the area (word to the wise: plan ahead and look at the revised routes if planning…

Chiltern Hills Trek (Tring & Aldbury))

Opted for a trek through the hills surrounding Tring and Aldbury and the views didn’t disappoint. Scaling and descending five hills proved to be a welcomed challenge; coupled with a late packed breakfast and coffee at Invinghoe Beacon. Even with the heat there was plenty to enjoy about this trek!
