A day trip to Whitehaven and the Chrstopher Columbus replica ship.
Really lovely day and Whitrhaven is a town full of history and plenty of signs to read all about it!
The boat was there around 3 weeks and worth paying £12 to get on board !

A half day visit to Halden and its castle.
Lovely town . Weather was quite hot but over cast . Castke is one of the best I have visited. Town lovely and clean and nice walk along the water front and up to the castle .it was steep but not to too bad an incline

Morning in Swedish town Stromstad.
6.44am number 630 bus to Svinesundsparken. Caught 111 bus 5 mins later to Stromstad. Nice little tiwn like Fredrikstad with boats and walkway along the river. Coffee and cake then bus to Halden

A walk around Gamblebyen and Fredrikstad
The ferry system is fabulous to reach both parts. The waters front is lovely and the little town of Gamlebyen is beautiful clean and picturesque .

A fabulous sculpture walk around Ekebergparken Oslo
Lovely 3 hour walk. Fabulous light show in the center, so goid I had to double back to see it again . Great for kids and adults a like. Lovely views from vantage points across Oslo too. Trams and buses connect really well there and back .

A visit to the Fram museum Norway
Highly recommend if you lije your history. It features original items from the race to tye Sotth Pole including The Fram boat which to Admundsen . Could have e spent hours there. Caught ferry over to it and there a famous room with frost bitten bodies in it! Not real…

High Pike plus one way walk from Caldbeck, Hesketh Newmarket up to High Pike,down to the Calder river and Cumbrian way finish in Keswick .
The times are wrong. I started at 10am. Stopped in Hesket Newmarket for 25 mins , on top of High Pike Fell for 20 mins, Bothy for 15 minutes and youth hostel for 15 mins . I got back to Keswick at 6.35pm so it was an endurance test. It…

Orresthead. Great walk for the kids and adults alike!
Really hot 25 degrees but plenty of shade on the 25 mins walk up from Windermere train station. The Gruffulo and friends with make the kids happy en route . Views at the top what Wainwright saw on h8s first even visit to become a life long obsession after

Grasmere to Ambleside 2 hour walk along Grasmere and Rydal Wayer shoreline
Very hot calm 24 degrees or more day. Plenty of shade and flat walk . Perfect and lovely views all around

Short part ascent of Black Combe circular
Extremely hot 27 degrees so opted to turn back and make a loop of the lower 0art if Black Combe. Would only recommend straight up and down as loop was problematic lower down on the way back with poorly overgrown marked paths.

Circular Keswick to 100 year old stone monument
Cooled down from 29 to 20 degrees with lovely breeze today . Nice easy relaxing walk from Keswick.
