From bowness ferry to Claife Heights to Wray Castle and Ambleside.

Bowness, ferry and Claife Heights circular
Beautiful Autumn day. The Claife Heights cafe Joeys , pasties are fresh flaky and tasty. The circular walk behind it takes in the old Claife Heights ruins with lovely views and climbs higher into wooded muddy paths. Great views of Windermere.
Loved it. Takes around 1.5 hours

Loop walk taking in Aira Force, Bracken Fell, Round How, Common Fell,Swineside Knott and Brown Hills.
Fabulous 3 hour lower hills loop walk with spectacular 360 views and lovely waterfall to finish it off. Boggy in parts after recent rain. But can be avoided mainly. I slightly went off track but my advice is stock to main paths on the map. Coming down is great but…

Ambleside to White Moss carpark horseshoe via Loghrigg Fell.
Beautiful.calm sunny cool day. The walk can be extended another hour to a circular by Rydal Water back.to Ambleside . I did this loop in approx 3 and half hours with a couple of ten min stops . Stunning vista all the way around

A 4.5 hour part loop walk with 2 waterfalls and 360 vista of Lakeland with reaching a summit
Left Buttermere 11.30am bk 4pm.
You can do 2.5 hour return walk to just Scale Force waterfall. I added a elevation walk just below Red Pike . Views are fabulous . Slight breeze no rain lovely sun in and out . Perfect walking conditions . Can be boggy in parts…

Keswick loop via part of old railway path, under Latrigg and localised path not on the map
Set off at 11.30am when heavy shower stopped. 40% chance after but didn't rain and got more sunny towards the end of the walk. Great views of all the surrounding fells and Derwent water.

Loop walk from Ings to Staveley
Lovely calm sunny day . Started from Lakeland farm at 12.30pm and finished in Staveley at 2pm Isolated away from the usual touristy areas . Great views of the Langdale Pikes in the distance and nearby Kentmere

A day trip to Whitehaven and the Chrstopher Columbus replica ship.
Really lovely day and Whitrhaven is a town full of history and plenty of signs to read all about it!
The boat was there around 3 weeks and worth paying £12 to get on board !

A half day visit to Halden and its castle.
Lovely town . Weather was quite hot but over cast . Castke is one of the best I have visited. Town lovely and clean and nice walk along the water front and up to the castle .it was steep but not to too bad an incline
