Nice little route, some steeper parts but not too bad. Couple of stiles and one field with sheep in but overall a lovely scenic hike ticking off another Ethel (26/95)

Lovely route, Winnats Pass was very steep but it’s always worth it for the views at the top!!
Finally ticked off Lose Hill Ethel as well!

Chrome Hill and Dragons Back from Earl Sterndale

Really nice route that I would definitely repeat again. Some scramble sections especially up dragons back which I wouldn’t recommend with a dog. Incredible views!!
Ticked off another two Ethels!

Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) via Rhyd Ddu Path and Snowdon Ranger Path

Rhyd Ddu was incredible and I think it’s my favourite route up Yr Wyddfa. Snowdon Ranger down was very steep in parts and quite boring compared to the very scenic Rhyd Ddu.
We followed a route that linked Snowdon Ranger back to the Rhyd Ddu car park but unfortunately it…

Coe Crag and Thrunton Woods

The definition of a hidden gem!! We saw one couple and a dog at the start and that was it. Perfect for my reactive dog. Free parking and a lovely cafe on the way back where we had cold drinks and met the very sweet ‘scruff’ the dog. Steep incline…

Nice route starting from Buxton station.
Warm day but the breeze was lovely- amazing views and very quiet which was great for my reactive dog.
Ticked off another 3 Ethels ✅

Birkett Fell from The Inn at Whitewell (April hike)

Nice views but poorly marked paths meant we went wrong several times. Extremely boggy and had to climb over felled trees at one point. Large number of stiles. The route took us through a couple of farms including one with several loud sheepdogs in kennels and two tethered just off…

Lyme Park and Black Hill (Whaley Moor) (February hike)

Very boggy, quite misty so didn’t get great views. The route up to the Ethel looked steep and muddy so we decided to turn around and we might try again on a dryer day.

Stanage Edge and Higger Tor loop (January hike)

Very boggy in places, would be better to do in the summer time. Incredible views at the top and we were able to tick off 2 Ethels. Steep coming down and the recent wet weather has resulted in stream of water down several paths.
