After a week on the Izu Peninsula and at Fuji, another Japanese metropolis, Osaka, is on our travel itinerary.
Our first foray into Osaka led us along the Tenjinbashi-Suji Shopping Street (home to over 600 shops and restaurants along approx. 2.5 km) to Ōgimachi Park and then on to Umeda to the Ferris

Also in the east of the Izu Peninsula, the Jogasaki Coast offers an impressive scenery with steep cliffs and lava rock beaches 🤩
Particularly noteworthy is the Kadowaki Suspension Bridge at the Kadowakisaki Lighthouse. From here, you have a spectacular view of the coastline shaped by natural forces.

A beautiful little loop through Dogashima Park and along the picturesque Dogashima Sebama Coast in the west of the Izu Peninsula 😍
On the boat tours offered here, in addition to the already extraordinary sea view, you get a great perspective from the sea of the magnificent coastline and into the Dogashima Sea Cave.

During today's coastal tour on the Izu Peninsula, we accidentally discovered this beautiful, sometimes somewhat dated, approximately 1 km long trail on National Route 136 between Matsuzaki and Iwachi, with a magnificent view of Iwachi Beach. Additionally, the trail leads to Hagiya Beach 😎

After having already explored the northern, eastern, and southern parts of the center of Tokyo, this tour now included an exploration of the western region.
The Meiji Shrine, the Shibuya district, and a visit to the Tokyo Tower were naturally not to be missed 😊

Through the Chuo district, we first went to Hamarikyū Park and then straight on to the Imperial Palace and the adjacent East Imperial Garden 🏯
We were able to sensibly wait out the onset of the rain shower in Tokyo Station with the numerous shopping opportunities in the surrounding area 😄

To get an overview of the numerous sights in Tokyo, we first went on a Hop-On / Hop-Off tour 🚍
In the afternoon, we followed with a walk from Ueno Park to Sensō-ji Temple (Asakusa Shrine) and at dusk a visit to the Skytree with a fantastic view over the illuminated metropolis 🌆

Having arrived in Tokyo, the time until check-in had to be bridged meaningfully. So, I decided against the blazing midday sun and opted for a visit to teamLab Planets just around the corner, followed by exploring the immediate surroundings, both very appealing and recommendable 😊

Before continuing my flight to Japan, I took a short walk to Santiphap Park in Bangkok and then recovered from the tropical climate of the last few days in Thailand at Sea Life, among other things 😅
One tip is definitely a visit to the Living Green Elephant Sanctuary in Chon Buri or Chiang Mai. Here

On our exploration of Osaka, this loop first took us past the Shintō shrine Tenman-gū to Osaka Castle, then on to Shitennō-ji Temple and the adjacent Tennoji Park, as well as through the entertainment district Dotonbori, which was flooded with crowds.
I can highly recommend a visit to the Miraiza Dachkaffee
