We hiked our 3rd Eifel loop ☀️This time it was the EifelSchleife breakfast beech 🌳In glorious sunshine it started early in Nettersheim. Right at the beginning of the hike there were some historical highlights, such as the lime distillery from the 19th century, the Roman pond or the remains of the Görresburg 🥾After we have left the short excursion into Roman history behind us, we only go through lonely forest and shortly before the end of the hike over a large meadow with a great view ☀️🧡As with every other loop in the Eifel, this one was again very well signposted 🤩

Hiking at the Wahnbachtalsperre 🥾I really enjoy being around the dams in the Bergisches Land 😍Yesterday this hike was "only" plan B Plan after we couldn't get a parking space in the morning at plan A (not even nearby) 😱The first part, and the last, near the Wahnbach dam, were extremely full in this wonderful weather 🙈All in all, it was still a beautiful and varied hike 🥾Varied because it went along the Wahnbachtalsperre, through woods and over fields. A piece along the Sieg and the Wahnbach through the forest 🌳In between there was always an incredible view and foresight 🤩

Winter hike around the Wuppertalsperre ☀️🥾❄️In the most beautiful winter weather we were drawn to the Bergisches Land ☀️
We wanted to soak up some sun and hike in the snow 🥾
The wonderful lap around the Wuppertalsperre was perfect for this 🤩
A leisurely hike, with an occasional incline 🥾 through the frozen ground under the snow, it was a little slippery in between ❄️
The views of the dam were mega beautiful ☀️

Finally hiking weather again ☀️And so it moved to the Bergisches Land 🥾We have chosen the beautiful mining route ☺️A great hike with a lot of history about mining in the area 🤩Unfortunately we managed to sell it, despite the top signage and 2 GPS navigation systems 😂 so part of the route is not exactly on the way 🤷🏻‍♀️🙈But it was still super nice and is very recommendable 👌🏻

Finally hiking again 🥾After a few weeks' break from hiking 🥴 today we went to the Bergisches Land 😍A nice tour, with great views in between 💚The nature in the Naafbachtal is super beautiful 💚Fortunately, after a short shower, the weather played along ☺️Nevertheless, most of the paths were pretty muddy 🙈

Our first hike in the Westerwald ☀️🥾I don't even know why we haven't had the Westerwald as a hiking region on our radar so far 🤔 it can be reached so quickly from Cologne! The hike was super beautiful and varied 💚For the most part it went through beautiful forest, which repeatedly gave views of the landscape of the Westerwald 😍That was definitely not our last hike there 💚

Beautiful and sometimes adventurous hike through the Bergisches Land 💚The first highlight of the path are the water buffalos 🐃 unfortunately there are only two left and unfortunately both of them were at the other end of the pasture 🙈The hike takes different paths. Initially mainly on forest paths, later there are also narrow paths and now and then it was not that easy to find the right path 🙈

Wonderful hike through the southern Eifel 💚Fantastic nature and bizarre rocks ☀️It went up and down again and again and partly through narrow passages in the Devil's Gorge 😈The hike has a lot to offer 🥾 and lots of great photo spots 🤳Unfortunately, it was very crowded at the weekend 🙈

We were again very comfortable 🙃After our first night on the roof tent and our first camping in a long time, it should only be a short tour around the campsite ⛺️🚙Since we always wanted to see the Siegfried Line, we took the opportunity 🤗The Siegfried Line is an approximately 630km long line of defense and marks the western border of the German Empire. You can still see some of these anti-tank traps along the tour!Otherwise, you are hiking here again through the wonderful Eifel landscape 💚All in all, a leisurely afternoon tour ☀️🥾
