Wandern nach Esens
Bei recht windigem aber sonnigem Wetter (Hinweg Rückenwind, Rückweg leider starker Gegenwind) haben wir mit Kindern einen kleinen Spaziergang von Utgast nach Esens machen dürfen. Dabei folgten wir dem Radweg, der über das Benser Tief verläuft. Neben der Fußgängerzone ging es zu einer leckeren Eisdiele und noch zu der Gedenkstätte der leider 1938 von den NS-Schergen zerstörten Synagoge der ehemaligen israelitischen Gemeinde. Heute steht nur noch das alte jüdische Schulhaus mit Lehrerwohnung.
