The Bockerl Cycle Path runs along the former route of the Hallertau Local Railway, also known as the Hallertauer Bockerl. The local railway was built between 1893 and 1907 and ran from Wolnzach to Enzelhausen and from there on to Mainburg and Langenbach, where there was a connection to the Munich - Landshut line. Today, only a small section of the line is still in operation between Langenbach and Anglberg, which supplies the Anglberg power plant with hard coal. Along the cycle path there are many leisure activities and attractions, such as the Hague and Anglberger bathing ponds, the church in Zolling, the main street and the town hall in Nandlstadt, the castle brewery in Au i. d.
