That was supposed to be just the first half of the loop we had planned for today, but the pig skin defeated us. Too slippery to climb even tho it looked easy... so we called it a day and had lunch before coming back on. The Doi Suthep single track.

I've heard so much about it, I'm really glad I had a shot at it today. Apart from 2 sections which are a bit more technical with rocks and steep single track, everything was ok. Now I've heard that it is a whole different story when the terrain is wet, looks like I have to put it on my to-do list!

We went on a family ride with my wife. She's a beginner so this area and this trail were perfect for her. We met some other riders too... I think they were following us... Just kidding, it was nice to tag along a little bit with some regular riding buddies!

A full day ride. Apart from the first section (and last) it's a fairly easy track. The first section is just a bit more technical and rocky but nothing really difficult. Else it's mostly double track. A lot of dust tho!

At the very beginning we were supposed to take a gnarly single track up, but we never found it so we ended up using the road.
And overall, because of poor planning, we mostly used roads. We tried some double track but it ended up in a dead end.
Nonetheless that was a very nice tour and we were blessed

Some steep parts, some tricky off the track parts (our mistake) but the real difficulty was the low hanging bamboo every 20m. That drained our energy so much and slowed us down tremendously. It probably took us about 3 hours total to ride less than 10km... Definitely have to improve before going back

We started with the single track, up to the creek. The day goal was to then turn left and find a loop but the first difficulty arrived: very steep climb, rain starting to fall, and not everyone had good tires...
But we all made it up the hill.
The problem is that then we missed the turn and drove back
