The path, first over the vineyards and later through the hillside forest, is very beautiful and offers many wonderful views of the

During our military history tour, we took short hikes every day to sites of Polish national defense or to buildings from the German era. One of these short tours led to the southeastern end of the narrow Hel Peninsula. Since it was a 4 km walk, I'm posting the walk and the accompanying photos here.

A military history trip to Poland included a tour of bunkers on the Hel Peninsula. These were built by the Poles shortly before World War II. They were never used for combat.

Gdansk, the old Hanseatic city, first mentioned in 997, was brought to a certain level of prosperity in the 13th century, primarily by Lübeck's craftsmen and merchants.
I don't want to copy and paste lengthy historical treatises from Wikipedia here.
At the end of World War II, 90% of the city was destroyed

As part of a history tour through former East and West Prussia, we also visited the Wolf's Lair. On a very informative tour past the blown-up bunkers, we learned a lot about this former Führer headquarters. Stauffenberg's failed assassination attempt on Hitler also takes up a lot of space.
