Lovely ride despite the heat. Probably spent more time chatting in Love&Piste than actually riding, met really lovely people. Tyre blew up on my devil child on the way home so an additional 2 mile walk, but all in all a great day out.

Started out as a 50 miler down Leicester way, chain snapped on the Giant into my first 5 miles. Walk of shame to the local pub, waiting for rescue (with coffee), picked up the Genesis, decided to do a freestyle gravel/canal instead, coffee and cake in Beeston.

Morning spin
Small loop out to Bunny and back. Must say some bits were absolutely terrible, I mean can we still call them potholes when they stretch across half the lane? Got lucky with the weather as it only started raining as I arrived home.

Ladybower & the Derwent Dam loop — Peak District National Park
Morning walk around the reservoir with the boys. Last time we were here Andrew was 1, time flies.
For a Sunday very quiet, few runners and dogwalkers, few mountain bikes too
Had an amazing coffee at Fairholmes, then headed home.

Nice little loop, from Sawley down to Swarkestone and back. Loved the ride, hated my gps. The plan was to go down to Ashby castle, the gps could not pick up the signal after Swarkestone, put my hands up and went home, could not risk to miss school run. Tomorrow…

That 'I wonder what's down that way' kind of ride
First ride back, out to Clifton woods and coming home using the Trent canal path, easy gravel ride. Great to see more and more families with young children getting into cycling.
Muddy up to my neck, have to sort out some light mudguards for Phil.
