Hike at Maros sands
Start at Mary's church car park down Pilgrims way to Mary's beach - at low tide! Return via coastal footpath. I added half a mile to retrieve dog toy so less than 10 if you follow this route. Not sure why we were 150ft as we were on beach below…

From Vintgar Gorge entrance to Bled and around lake, taking in high viewpoint Ojstrica hill.
The Vintgar Gorge us a must see if you enjoy nature. There is an entrance fee, which includes a free shuttle bus from Bled bus STN or a car park en route. The hike up Ojstrica is steep and rough.

Cycling mostly on an old railway track with high point approximately at the Slovenia Italy border

Hike starting near Spar shop and following stream Sava to Kranjska Gora, return along cycle path.
Stream path is clear and marked in some places but many tree roots and uneven stony bits. Cycle path winds between traditional and modern farms, tarmac surface.

Hike around Preseli tops, including Foel Cumcerwyn,Pembrokeshire
This hilltops walk is deceptive in the way it looks shorter than it is from the road on starting. Shorter routes are available. Waterproof footwear is a must. Tracks are rough and uneven. Free parking is available nearer than were we started. Views are fabulous.
