This trip started from Las Arenas. I wanted to hike to Santa Brigida.
The first 6 km are to leave the city: urban hiking, streets, and pavements. BUT only uphill.
From then on, the hike changes to paths between nature and agricultural units.
After about 13 km, the path was closed, and we found ourselves

This is a great walk. It is almost my daily routine when i do not have a lot of time, or if o do not feel like walking.
Following Northbound Playa de Las Canteras, you will be passing all restaurants and cafes.
Once you reach Playa Confital, the roads will change to comfortable wooden walkboards.

We completed this route a couple of years ago, but decided to try this once more.
The first 3.75 km South of Las Canteras beach is a very steep uphill section, almost entirely on hard surface. You have great views of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, La Isleta and Las Canteras from the top.

We tried to follow the Firgas R3 route for this hike, but we apparently got off and on-trail a couple of times. We eventually managed to get to Pico de Osorio. The start and finish of our trail was in Firgas.
The climb to this Pico is super steep and slippery (more than 30%), with the immediate surroundings
