If you want to keep the tour under 20 kilometers (as we did), you can take the « Wanderbus » (2 departures/day, not a regular bus line - bit.ly/3gI8J8p) from Längenfeld to Gries. The trail is not to steep and the view from the ambergerhuette.at (2135m) is more than worth the effort!
