A lovely walk at any time of year, but particularly on summer and autumn evenings. Various options for licensing or shortening the route and for less steep inclines. The easiest is to do the route in reverse.

A beautiful walk, with all the hard work completed in the first 6km.
The section 2-3km in is narrow and close to the cliff edge in places, so best avoided if you have vertigo or on very windy days.
A superb walk.

The first half of this walk is much more enjoyable than the second. The route back includes about 1.5km on roads, about 700m on a main road and a further half km of footpath alongside it.
Apart from the viewpoint at Dover's Hill we saw only three other walkers on the route.
The path is slightly different

The route starts with a very pleasant walk through Gidleigh Woods, before climbing up to the magnificant, far-reaching views afforded by Kestor Rocks. From here the route drops down to the delightful clapper bridge at Walla Brook and then, just a couple of hundred metres further on, Scorhill Stone Circle
