Actually, a tour of Lake Ammersee was planned quite spontaneously. The S-Bahn had other plans.🚈 So we went to Starnberg and in a loop via Kloster Schäftlarn to Pullach. And actually only 21 km were planned, but there were problems with the S-Bahn on the way back...so I walked another 6 km. Beautifully

Today it was supposed to get hotter again. So we tried to start as early as possible.



We went along forest paths to Einsiedel and continued along the Main-Danube Canal. Then we crossed the border into the Lower Bavarian district of Kelheim.

Today we first went through the Gungoldinger juniper heath (one of the oldest nature reserves in Bavaria) and continued just as idyllic as yesterday's stage.

Today I had a hiking companion, completely unexpectedly. A hiking colleague who I had met right at the beginning in Spielberg and who was actually only going for 2 days, had decided to accompany me for part of the way today.

Today started with a bit of rain. So after breakfast I went to the Sola Basilica and the Church of St. Veit in Solnhofen.

And it was amazing how many freight trains travel through the Altmühl Valley - something I noticed especially here in Solnhofen, as my accommodation was right next to the railway
