Today we're heading straight from our accommodation "Wanderlust" (see photo) - our base during the hike: 3 minutes from Bad Goisern train station - very practical, as the respective daily destinations are all on the train line - highly recommended ( wanderlustboutiquerooms.com ).
First along the Traun

The 3rd stage is shorter, but there is a lot to see - for example in the Sissipark in Bad Ischl or the exhibition "The Life of Things" in the Marktrichterhaus in Lauffen (Wed-Sun 12-5pm); the Kaiserin Elisabeth coffee house there was unfortunately closed (Thurs+Sun)! Pilgrim stamps in the Lauffen pilgrimage

Stage 2 starts in Ebensee (from Gmunden to Ebensee you can go by train or boat): from the train station ("Gasthaus zum flatternden Aufbruch") to the church (pilgrim's stamp), then first along the Traun (we missed the detour via the Bruder Klaus Church in Roith) and finally following the brine pipeline path.

1st stage of the Water Pilgrimage Trail (dioezese-linz.at/wasserpilgern) along the Traun to Bad Aussee: from the Jakobskirche in Roitham (1st pilgrim stamp) via the Traunfall (!), Steyrmühl (the church with the pilgrim stamp is not on the trail, however) to Gmunden (pilgrim stamp in the town parish church).

Last and most spectacular stage of our Sentiero - from wide and comfortable forest paths directly into the cliffs in front of Portovenere. Some nice encounters, for example with a small group from Alsace. After nine days of hiking, an evening stroll through Portovenere awaits and tomorrow the journey

Now we know the difference between a hiking group and a caravan 🥴! On sometimes narrow paths it is not so easy to avoid “oncoming traffic”.
But why shouldn't others see and experience the same things as us? Maybe we shouldn't have included the weekend in our planning!?

We are approaching the Cinque Terre, there are more people on the way, including a few short encounters, for example with two women from Linz (one from Katzbach).

After a day of rest in Moneglia, the first section was bridged by train today (we don't want to collect altitude discount markers!). At first - after a steep climb - there are few views, but a beautiful forest path under pine and chestnut trees. Then through the interesting three-part town of Framura

Sweaty today - because of the altitude and because the path (in the second part) provided little shade, and that at lunchtime. Now more rocky terrain. But still very nice with lots of views of the sea (can you get enough of that?)!

The last stage of the 80 km long water pilgrimage route leads through the beautiful Koppental valley to the Ausseer Land. In the spa gardens of Bad Aussee, the Altausseer Traun and the Grundlseer Traun merge to form the (Koppen) Traun.
(Unfortunately, the pilgrim stamp in or in front of the church of
