Hello everyone 🙂,Today we went to the vicinity of Haltern am See on the spur of the moment, you have to take advantage of the nice weather after all.
The starting point was the parking lot 🅿️ at the Waldschenke Hohe Mark. Parking is free here.
In good hiking weather we walked part of the Hohen Mark Steig.
Most of the time it was on the beaten track, some of which you could hardly see because of the leaves.
The highlight of this tour were the many autumn colors that shimmered in the sun in all sorts of red / - 🍁 and brown tones 🍂.
There were hardly any people around, so we didn't meet another human soul for a long time.

Hello everyone 🙂,We discovered today's tour on "zeeland.com".
The starting point was our hotel, which is located directly on the dunes.
In light fog we started up on the dune.
From there we could enjoy the view of the foggy valley.
We made good progress on wide gravel roads.
After a while, we went into the hinterland, into a wooded area, where old relics from World War II could still be seen.
We passed an anti-tank barrier and a small bunker.
Then the sun 🌞 dissolved the fog very quickly.
We continued past the place "Klein Valkenisse", from here the area became more open, fields and canals shaped this part of the tour.
We went back over the dike and along the beach to the hotel.
With almost deserted paths, we had a quiet and relaxed hike 🥾🥾.

Hello everyone 🙂,Today we went for a short vacation to Zoutelande, in the south of the Netherlands 🇱🇺.
We explored the surrounding area from our hotel.
First in the city, for refreshment there was a Frikandel Special 🌭.
Then up on the dike, with a wonderful view of the "Catharinakerk" church and the city center.
Then it went on along the long beautiful beach 🏖.
Taking pictures was not that easy, with almost 18 degrees and sun 🌞 the beach was well attended.
Then we're back to the hotel.

Hello everyone 🙂,Today we went to Witten in beautiful hiking weather.
The starting point was the parking lot at the Saalbau in Witten 🅿️ (chargeable).
Past the Witten house, then we crossed the Ruhr and continued to the Nachtigall colliery. The Nachtigall colliery is located at the entrance to the idyllic Muttental valley. This is where the Ruhr mining industry began more than 300 years ago. Our visit to the Nachtigall industrial museum was exciting and informative. We continued into the forest, past various small mining stations. Finally, we hiked to Steinhausen Castle and looked at the sculpture park. Then it went back to the starting point. The hike was fun, we got to see a lot 😀.

Hello everyone 🙂,today we went to the Hohensyburg castle ruins.
According to the weatherman it should be slightly cloudy 18 degrees, but it was only 12 degrees and fog.
The starting point was the parking lot on Hohensyburgerstrasse, opposite the Road Stop restaurant. Parking 🅿️ there is free. The path first led us to the Hohensyburg castle ruins and the Vincketurm.
Unfortunately we couldn't see anything from the panoramic terrace, the fog was too thick.
From there it went on to the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial.
Then it went on varied paths, through the forest, past the Ruhr and the Husen house, back to the starting point. Conclusion: A great and varied tour despite the fog.

Hello everyone 🙂,on this beautiful, sunny Saturday we went back out into nature.
The starting point was Mintard, the street is called "Am Shoot". There are a few parking spaces here 🅿️.
From there it went straight into the forest.
After a few steps, you will pass several horse pastures.
After about 2.5 km we came across an old, Jewish cemetery.
After another 4 km, you will reach an old tunnel that you have to cross.Last but not least, we hiked to Landsberg Castle. The outdoor facilities are freely accessible, the castle park is beautiful.
Unfortunately, the castle itself could not be visited.
The circular route is varied and easy to walk.
      We had a nice day.

Hello everyone 🙂,Today's tour begins at the car park for hikers on Carl-Hasselbeck-Straße in Frielingsdorf 🅿️ (free parking). The Lindlar-Frielingsdorf legend trail begins at the hiking car park and leads past the Catholic parish church of St. Apollinaris.
From there it goes past the ONI sports field, in the direction of Eibach, where the ruins of a moated castle are.
The ruins of the Eibach moated castle date from 1356.
Then we hiked on towards Gimborn.
Gimborn Castle, which was built in 1273, takes you through the hillside forests of the Leppetal valley.
Unfortunately, we were unable to visit the castle park due to an event.
Instead we visited the Church of St. John Baptist.
We discovered the small chapel to the right of the church.
The poor soul chapel is definitely a highlight.
Then the hiking trail continues, across the small forest cemetery, to the left of the church. We continued to the Kümmeler Kreuz, an old wayside cross.
From there you come to the Steinberg, the highest point in the municipality of Lindlar at 376 meters.
From there we hiked on to the Neuenberg castle ruins, of which only a few walls remain.
It is nice to see how nature slowly pulls back the walls.
From there we went to the dwarf cave. The sand-lime stone cave is hidden deep in the forest and freely accessible. You should have a flashlight with you. The cave is about 12m long and 7m wide, and if you look closely, you can still spot a resident (see photo evidence). On the way back we discovered a well with fresh, cool water.
At just under 28 degrees, cooling down was really good.
Last but not least, it went back to the starting point where today's tour ended. Conclusion: A great circular route in a varied landscape, with a wonderful view of the Bergisches Land.
Unfortunately, the bark beetle did a great job and destroyed entire sections of the forest. Reforestation has partially started.

Hello everyone 🙂,today we went to the twilight forest, near Schermbeck. The starting point was the "Teufelstein" 🅿️ hiking car park (free parking).
This is located directly in the forest.
Few people were out that morning.
You haven't seen anyone for a long time.
We could enjoy the peace 😉.
Most of the paths consisted of gravel roads and forest roads.
      The vegetation was lush green.
      We had a nice hike 🌻 🌳 🥾

Hello everyone 🙂,Today we hiked from the airport Schwarze Heide to the old ammunition depot Hünxe in the best hiking weather.
The ammunition depot was shut down around 1999.
The starting point was the parking lot at the airport 🅿️ (free parking). From there we hiked through the forest to the old ammunition depot.
It went over gravel roads and paved roads.
The vegetation was lush green 🌳 🐌 🦋.
The paths were almost lonely and deserted.
When we reached the depot, we were amazed at how many bunkers there were in good condition. With the thickness of the steel doors and the concrete structures, one can only guess how much ammunition was probably stored here.Fortunately not all bunkers were locked, so you could take a look inside.Something was then slightly hidden behind bushes that could be part of a bus. This is how you imagine a Lost Places 😀.Then we are back to the airport where the tour ended.
