A beautiful morning walk to the Gallenstein ruins. It takes 15 minutes to walk up from the car park and you can walk around the ruins. There is no admission charge and the view from the top is great. Especially today as we walked out of the fog into the blue sky and were then able to look down on the fog.

In wonderful autumn weather we walked around Lake Leopoldstein. The mountains and trees were beautifully reflected, so that the lake seemed really deep, even at the edge.
The path is very beautiful, and since we wanted to go a little further we continued a little further through the forest, towards Seeau

On the way to Lake Leopoldstein we stopped in Eisenerz to visit the fortified church of St. Oswald. Before that we walked a bit through the beautiful town and up to the shift tower. Here the bell was rung to call the miners to the start of their shift.

Today we were able to marvel at over 20 flowery motifs that were lovingly handcrafted around the pilgrimage site of Pöllauberg. The flower wagons could be admired from 11 a.m., at 1 p.m. the flower parade started. In the meantime we walked up and visited the pilgrimage church and enjoyed the view from up here.

A last visit to Schönbrunn for this year to see the young again. This time I managed to see the orangutan and the koala 😊
In front of the castle is the New Year's market, which we also visited.
Then we took the public transport to the Europahaus (max. 20 minutes from the zoo) where the Lumagica light

Today we finally managed to get something out again. We went up to the Gutenstein ruins, which are scaffolded and fenced in all around, so you can only see them from afar. Then we went to the Maria Hilfberg, to the pilgrimage church, along the Way of the Cross and past some grottos/hermit caves.

With the Nö Card through the beautiful Noth Gorge with a stop in the cave. This is one of the oldest show caves and was the first electrically lit cave in the world in 1882. It is also the largest gypsum-bearing cave in the German-speaking world and the only show cave in Europe in which hydrogen sulphide
