At the start, we were accompanied by a light drizzle, but then it cleared up, with a temperature of 7°C at 9:00 AM.



We started again at the outdoor swimming pool in Hörste, heading for our destination: crossing the Mämerisch, 310m.

Today was the fourth training hike for the Warrior Hike, with increasing distances, and it was supposed to be 30 km.



I chose the Augustdorf circular route, which is only 25 km long. An attempt to extend the hike towards the Oerlinghausen glider airfield resulted in the "angular outgrowth" in the route

Actually, @UWG and I were planning to do the Street Art West tour together—but Uwe had to cancel at the last minute!



However, he's already planned a route that I can now use as a guide.



I'm including a detour to the university building and the SCHÜCO Arena, which makes the trip a bit longer. I'll describe

The large-scale murals on the walls of the SCHÜCO ARENA are also worth a second look.



Dennis Kelle is responsible for many of the large-scale murals in Bielefeld.



He started spray painting while studying education at Bielefeld University, became self-employed, and has been making a living from mural painting

A special mural awaits me at Bielefeld University –



The Chile mural from 1976.



It is 16 meters long and was created by the "Salvador Allende Brigade." It is listed as a protected monument in the city of Bielefeld.



The mural, in the style of Latin American "Materialismo," was secretly installed on the night

In Old High German, in ancient times, this was the site of the "Thietmelligau," a people's court.

Here, district assemblies were held and justice was administered.



Over time, the name of the district was transferred to an early settlement on the Werre River.

The linden trees line a connecting path to the foot of the Grotenburg hill, between Hiddesen and Heiligenkirchen, forming an avenue designated as a natural monument.



The "shoot" at the base of the linden trunks, often referred to as root suckers, root sprouts, or water sprouts, is a common phenomenon

My husband received a cooking evening as a birthday present from a friend. We wives are "left out" – but we're allowed to eat with him!!



As far as cooking goes, my husband is a complete beginner!!!
