The Vitra Schaudepot is a red brick building and was planned in the original form of a house by Herzog & de Meuron. As a pure depot, it has no windows. The outer wall is clad with broken bricks, so each stone has a different surface. The jointing material is also colored brick red.

On Monte Sacro, the Holy Mountain above Locarno, lies the monastery Madonna del Sasso.
Madonna del Sasso is considered the most important religious and historical pilgrimage site in Italian Switzerland.

From Locarno, we travel a little over 2 hours by the blue and white Centovalli - Bahn train to Domodossola in Italy.
The railway line was opened in 1923 and has therefore existed for over 100 years. I have great respect for this construction achievement in such difficult terrain!!!
