TNR, Day 8, Rifugio Gardetta to Cuneo
Crossed the Gardetta Plateau for the first part of the day, really scenic ride with some hike-a-bike, then dropped into the valley to the town of Cuneo. The Gardetta Plateau was by far the coolest high alpine terrain we crossed, fun day of riding, just a little rain.

TNR, Day 6, Sampayre to Ponte Marmora
Favorite climb so far, more remote area, not many cars or motos, killer scenery and we climbed above the cloud level, which was super cool. The sweet spot seems to be 4000 feet of climbing per day whether we need to or not.

TNR, Day 5, Pierre Grosse to Sampayre
The pass for today was Colle dell'Agnello at 9000 feet, which is the high point for the tour. Some cool old villages with narrow cobblestone streets on the way down, made it to camp before the rain, another good day.

TNR, Day 3, Rifugio Alpe Pintas to Cervieres
Long day lots of high alpine passes and big descents, great weather and spectacular mountains. First half of the day was riding over passes around treeline on dirt roads, then at Sestriere hit the road and got a great descent to Cesana another climb and dropped into the fortified city…

TNR, Day 2, Busselino to Rifugio Alpe Pintas
Didn't go very far, but it was basically 12 miles of climbing at a 10% grade, 40 switchbacks, then a couple miles downhill to a cool rifugio with food and beer and camping and amazing views, so that's as far as we got.

Polebridge to Whitefish
Made it back to the car in Whitefish and finished the tour. Nice sunny day with cool temps. Lots of people out picking huckleberries, including Eric and I. Fun tour, BC really is beautiful, met lots of new friends, felt good at the end of the ride.

BC Epic, Lake Koocanusa to Eureka
Only rode a few miles on the BC Epic route, then jumped on the Divide Trail and headed South across the border to Eureka. Met all sorts of new friends on the Divide Trail, there's seven of us camping in Eureka.

Started out with mostly downhill on the Northstar Rail Trail and Isadora Canyon Trail, a few road miles, a freak rain storm and some rolling forest roads to the lake. Back in the US tomorrow.

BC Epic, Nelson to Gray Creek
Took a rest day in Nelson yesterday and hit the local establishments, good day. Rode to the bottom of Gray Creek Pass today on asphalt with a cool ferry ride across Kootenay Lake. Tomorrow is the big climb day for the tour.
