Where's the summer gone?! Lovely walk through the National Trust land in Alderley. Parked on the street near the station so free. The woods kept us mostly dry but we got soaked at some points. Starting to get muddy underfoot now so off with the trainers back to walking boots.

The walk that kept on giving! Probably my favourite of the year so far. Beautiful sunny day. Really quiet for the most part. Good mix of uphill and flat and a great variety of terrain. Forest, heather filled fields, rocks, ledges and a reservoir
Lots of great places to stop for lunch and even and ice

Gorgous evening walk,
well marked paths mostly off road.
Stunning views of the hills and over Manchester - and a lovely pub with a great beer garden at the start/end. The Devonshire Arms Took all our willpower to do the walk!
