Today I explored a previously unknown area. A very beautiful area that is reminiscent of the Dutch national parks, e.g. De Meinweg.
Unfortunately it turned out during the tour that it couldn't be walked as planned. Numerous paths were closed, partly because of game protection, which of course should be respected.
However, it was a bit surprising that the south-eastern entrance to the Diersfordt Forest was locked (km 2.58), which meant that it was a not inconsiderable detour via country road. So if you want to pursue this tour, you should perhaps plan to go directly to the north entrance, near which you can also park (directly at the radio transmitter at km 5.35).
The small detour to the Waldsee should also be approached from the north, which saves you having to walk twice.
Since I know the area a little now, I will take this into account in the next planning.
But the area is great and is a great alternative to the Netherlands in these times, we'll be back 😀.

So that one daughter has time to bake a cake, the other daughter has kidnapped her mother on a short hike with the dogs.
      Nice round 😃

A day in Elfringhauser Switzerland always feels like a day of vacation and it is practically on the doorstep.
Inspired by a tour of 'Jingle Bells', thank you very much.
Most of the time it went over fields, meadows and through forests. Little asphalt and yet a relatively long stretch of road, which, however, could not be avoided.
However, this was compensated for by a lot of landscape and distant views.

Today another Bergisch foray. You can do it, but it's one of the less attractive forays. So the first and the last 2.5km lead over the same paths, that could have been done better. The Brucher Dam is circled around once in sections.
It's sad how much forest had to believe in it 😪.

It stormed, there was a hail, the sun was shining.
Today we went to Purd in the brook valley. Thanks Monika for the template, it's very nice there and we hardly met people (ok, maybe it was also the weather 😂).
The Purder Bachtal is in an idyllic location and you start from a fairly large parking lot for hikers.
As always, the rest can be found in the pictures.
Who knows what those big, hanging balls are for, which are covered with a white net and are often found on paddocks? Is that a horse toy? (Fig. 29)

At the beginning of spring we went to the Wahnbach dam.
Inspired by a tour Sarah went on. Thank you, it was very varied 👍🏻😁.
I only put the starting point on a parking lot for hikers.
A manageable amount of asphalt, often on wider paths, as they are usually for dams, but also on sometimes quite adventurous paths, entirely to my taste.
The paths were often blocked by transverse trees, which involved climbing and once a steep descent.
It wasn't that crowded and the weather was on our side too. A nice day with lots of variety and fun.
That was Jule's first round of 25, you can be proud of you, you did a great job 👍🏻🏅🏆
