About About The Adventure
Hiking and running local trails from Edale in the Peak District. Exploring away from the crowded trails. I love a tucked away flask & picnic spot with a great view. Career coaching outdoors on these trails too!

An alternative route up Mam Tor from Edale, avoiding the popular paths & roads, and including a couple hidden gems. The hidden pool near the start of the walk is nicely tucked away - a great spot to look out for wildlife while enjoying a brew. This south-east route up Mam Tor is steep but really rewarding for the views.

This is a short hike but a great challenge! It can be very wet underfoot up Golden Clough as water flows down from different directions. The path is rough and sometimes disappears but as long as you follow the main flow of water you'll be fine. Remember to look back at the view while you're hiking up
