Basis für die Wanderung war der Europäische Kulturweg "Bachgau 1". Beim letzten Teil sind wir von der Route abgewichen und ab der Friedensglocke einem Weg zwischen Wald und einem mit Brombeersträuchern bewachsenen Schutzwall zum Gewerbegebiet gefolgt. Die Infostation des ehemaligen Bunkers ist leider nur über das Gewerbegebiet uugänglich und selten besetzt. Dennoch ist der Abstecher interessant: Auf einem Übersichtsplan wid deutlich, dass der heutige Ortsteil Ringheim in großen Teilen zum ehemaligen Fluggelände gehört
